Corrugated Metal Wall Panels for New Jersey Buildings and Homes

Corrugated metal wall panels are formed steel sheets with repeating waves or ribs, and we fabricate them in three profiles for walls from backyard studios to industrial plants. Each one is cut to your lengths in our New Jersey shop, with trims formed from the same coil, then delivered in New Jersey or picked up at the shop. Homeowners with their own installer can request a quote; builders can send plans.

What counts as a corrugated wall panel?

A corrugated panel gets its strength from waves or ribs formed across its width, and it is usually fastened through the face. Rounded waves are the classic look; deep ribbed panels such as PBR are part of the same family.

Exposed fastening keeps these walls simple. Screws are easy to place, easy to inspect and easy to replace, and a damaged panel can be swapped for a new one cut to length. In our metal wall panel line, three profiles cover the corrugated family.

Which corrugated profile should you choose?

Pick by job: economy, load or matching a metal building. The table shows only the specs fixed for each profile; everything else is confirmed on its submittal.

Our three corrugated metal wall panels compared.
  • Budget-driven wall, normal height: the AMP 2.67 x 5 in 24 gauge, or 22 gauge for walls that get knocked around.
  • Tall wall, high loads or bold texture: the AMP 2.67 x .875 with its 7/8-inch corrugation.
  • New or existing metal building: AMP PBR corrugated panels, which also cover the roof.

Corrugated or concealed fastener: which is right?

Corrugated usually costs less and is simpler to inspect and repair. Concealed fastener panels hide every screw for a finished, architectural face.

  • Choose corrugated for industrial and utility buildings, enclosures, garages and designs that celebrate visible construction.
  • Choose concealed fastener for office fronts, storefronts and homes where screw rows would distract. See the Wave 16-4 and Wave 12-3.
  • Split the difference with the AMP PBR wall panel, a semi-concealed panel with a smooth, flat look.

Many buildings mix them: corrugated on the service sides, a concealed fastener panel on the street front.

Can a house have corrugated metal walls?

Yes. Corrugated walls suit modern homes, detached garages, backyard studios and accent walls. On wood framing, the panels go over sheathing and a weather-resistive barrier, usually on furring that leaves a drainage space behind the metal.

We bend head flashings and jamb trims for every opening, and your installer laps them with the window flashing. Many owners choose a wall color that works with a metal roof on the same house. To request a quote, send the plans or wall dimensions from your installer; we do not measure on site.

What makes a corrugated wall look finished?

Trims and closures. The panel sets the texture, but the edges decide whether a wall looks crisp or improvised.

Base

A drip base trim plus a closure shaped to the profile seals the bottom against water, insects and rodents.

Openings and corners

Head flashings, jamb trims and corner trims cover every cut panel end.

Top

A trim, cap or metal coping closes the top of the wall or parapet.

All of these are formed in our custom sheet metal shop from the same coil as the panels, so color and gloss match. Your installer keeps the screws in straight rows, the last detail people notice from the street.

What changes near salt water?

The substrate and the warranty. Many Galvalume warranties exclude coastal sites, so confirm coverage before you order steel for a building near the shore.

Metal Sales’ Galvalume panel warranty, for one, does not apply within 1,500 feet of salt water, marine atmospheres or salt spray. It also excludes areas that take runoff from copper or lead. Aluminum is available on request for sites like these, and the submittal states which warranty applies.

How do you order corrugated metal wall panels?

Send a cut list or plans and tell us the profile, or how the building is used, and we reply with a written quote. We fabricate from your dimensions and approved shop drawings. We do not measure on site, so field dimensions come from your installer.

  • Profile and gauge: 2.67 x 5 in 22 or 24 gauge, 2.67 x .875, or PBR, in the gauge the submittal confirms.
  • Finish and color: PVDF or SMP, in a color from the coil maker’s chart.
  • Lengths and quantities: each panel length and count, wall by wall.
  • Trims and closures: base, corners, openings and top, with closures shaped to the profile.
  • Delivery or pickup: delivered in New Jersey or picked up at our shop. Ask about delivery to your job.

Commercial orders come with a submittal package: product data, gauge, fastening schedule, trim details, the color chart and finish warranty terms from the coil manufacturer. Ask us for current lead times. Builders and architects can send plans for a quote. For buildings that also need roof panels, see commercial metal roofing.

Notes for your installer

Set the barrier and furring or girts first, then the base trim and closures. Fasten the panels where the fastening schedule puts the screws, and finish with corner, opening and top trims.

How do you maintain a corrugated wall?

Rinse it once or twice a year and walk it once a year. Look for loose screws, cracked sealing washers and gaps at closures, and replace what you find.

Keep soil, mulch and stored materials off the base trim. A dented or damaged panel is replaced with a new one cut to length from matching coil.

Corrugated wall panel questions

Are corrugated metal wall panels only for industrial buildings?

No. They are common on industrial buildings, but homeowners use them on modern houses, garages, studios and accent walls, and retailers use them for an industrial look.

Which corrugated profile should I pick?

Use the 2.67 x 5 for economical walls, the 2.67 x .875 for higher loads or a bolder texture, and PBR corrugated panels for new or existing metal buildings. We can price more than one if you are unsure.

Can corrugated panels go on a house with wood framing?

Yes. Your installer sets them over sheathing and a weather-resistive barrier, usually on furring that leaves a drainage space, with our trims and flashings at every opening.

Do corrugated walls cost less than concealed fastener walls?

Usually, because the panels and fastening are simpler. The gap depends on the wall, the trims and the gauge, so ask us to price both as alternates.

Can corrugated panels run horizontally?

Many designs run corrugated horizontally. The framing, end laps and trims change when they do, and the orientation for your profile is confirmed on the submittal.
