Send Plans for a Metal Panel Quote from Our New Jersey Shop

Get a metal panel quote from plans by sending drawings, specs and addenda for wall panels, ACM, coping, flashing, box gutter liners or standing seam roof panels. We read the set and reply with a written quote or questions. Everything is fabricated in our shop and delivered in New Jersey or picked up.

What should you send with your plans?

Send the drawings and specifications that show the metal, every addendum issued so far and the bid date. The more complete the set, the fewer assumptions end up in our quote.

  • The plan set: elevations, wall sections, the roof plan and enlarged details at parapets, openings and roof edges
  • Specifications: the Division 07 sections that cover metal panels, composite panels, sheet metal and metal roofing
  • Addenda and alternates, plus any answers already given to bidder questions
  • The bid date, your bid form if there is one, and where the quote should go
  • Selected colors or finishes, if the design team has chosen them
  • A cut list or field dimensions, if your crew has already measured the building

Name the items you want quoted in the notes. If you only need the coping and flashing, or only the ACM, say so and we will quote just that.

Which items can we quote?

Any exterior metal we fabricate in our shop. Pick one or several:

We quote the fabricated metal, the accessories listed on the quote, and delivery or pickup. Installation is not part of our quote; your crew or installer prices that. See our page for contractors and builders for how submittals, shop drawings and field dimensions work.

What happens after you send the plans?

We review the set, send back any questions, then quote the fabricated metal in writing. Here is the order of events.

  1. We check the files and confirm which items you asked us to quote.
  2. We read the drawings and specs, take off quantities and note anything unclear or missing.
  3. Our questions come back to you in writing, so you can pass them to the architect as RFIs.
  4. You get a written quote that lists each item with its metal, finish and color, the assumptions we made, and delivery or pickup.
  5. If we cannot quote the job in time for your bid date, we tell you so instead of going quiet.

Let us know which code edition the permit set follows. New Jersey adopted its 2024 building codes effective August 17, 2026, according to the Department of Community Affairs, and a grace period generally lets applicants use the prior edition for a time. We quote to the edition on your permit.

Plan quote FAQ

Questions about sending plans

What file types can I upload?

PDF is the easiest format for plan sets and specifications. If the form will not take a file, or your drawings are in another format, paste a download link in the notes field instead.

What if my plan set is too large to upload?

Upload only the sheets that show the metal, or skip the upload and paste a link to a shared folder or plan room in the notes. Check that the link stays active until after the bid date.

Do you keep my drawings confidential?

Yes. Plans you send are used only to prepare our quote. Uploaded files are stored privately and are deleted along with the request record. If your project needs a confidentiality agreement, say so in the notes.

How long does it take to get a quote back?

It depends on the size of the plan set and how many items you want quoted, so we do not promise a fixed turnaround. Give us the bid date up front, and if the timing is a problem we will tell you.

Can you include product data with the quote?

Yes. If the specification asks for product data with the bid, mention it in the notes and we include what is available for the products we quote. Full submittal packages and shop drawings usually follow the order.

Does your quote include installation?

No. We are a fabricator only, so the quote covers the fabricated metal, the accessories listed on it, and delivery or pickup. Your crew or installer prices the installation.

Questions first?
