New Jersey Sheet Metal Fabricator: Delivery Area and Shop Pickup

As a sheet metal fabricator in New Jersey, we make wall panels, coping, flashing, box gutter liners and roofing panels to your dimensions in our New Brunswick shop. Orders are delivered to jobs in eight central and northern counties, from the shore to the Delaware River, or picked up at the shop. Your contractor or installer puts the metal on the building; we do not install.

Which New Jersey counties do we deliver to?

Middlesex, Somerset, Monmouth, Union, Mercer, Morris, Essex and Hunterdon. Each county has its own page covering the buildings there, the products that suit them and the towns on the delivery list.

Middlesex County

Our home county, with warehouse corridors, brick downtowns and Raritan Bay towns a short drive from the shop. Middlesex County sheet metal

Somerset County

A 5A climate zone county of hill estates, office campuses and older river boroughs, where snow shapes the roof order. Somerset County panels and trim

Monmouth County

Ocean, bay and tidal river frontage, where salt air often points the order toward aluminum. Monmouth County coastal metal

Union County

Dense older towns full of brick parapets, two-families and gutters built into the roof edge. Union County coping and box gutter liners

Mercer County

Princeton’s 21 historic districts, Trenton’s older commercial blocks and the Route 1 office parks. Mercer County sheet metal

Morris County

Snow country: zone 5A, a 35 psf fallback snow load, lake towns and corporate campuses. Morris County roof and wall panels

Essex County

The most populous county on our list, from Newark storefront facades to older suburbs and West Essex homes. Essex County facade panels and coping

Hunterdon County

Farms, barns, stone farmhouses and Delaware River towns at the western edge of the delivery area. Hunterdon County barn and roof panels

Who orders from a New Brunswick fabrication shop?

Mostly contractors and builders, plus owners who have hired their own installer. We make the metal, and the people below put it on the building.

  • Roofers ordering standing seam panels, edge metal, flashing and trim cut to their measurements
  • Siding and wall panel installers ordering AMP profile panels with corner, base and opening trims
  • General contractors and architects sending plan sets for wall panels, ACM, coping and roof panel packages
  • Property managers replacing failed coping, counter-flashing or box gutter liners through their own contractor
  • Homeowners who have hired a roofer or carpenter and want the parts made locally

We work from the dimensions you send or from the plans. We do not measure on site, so field measurements are the installer’s job. For architectural and commercial orders we prepare shop drawings first, and nothing is fabricated until you approve them.

How do delivery and pickup work?

Every order ends one of two ways: we deliver it to the job in New Jersey, or you pick it up at the shop. Tell us which you prefer when you ask for a quote.

  • Delivery. We deliver within New Jersey. Ask about delivery to your job, and mention access: a narrow street, a farm lane, a loading dock or a site with no room to set long panels down.
  • Pickup. Orders can be collected at 13A Jules Lane, New Brunswick during business hours (Mo-Fr 07:00-17:00). Bring a vehicle that suits the longest piece on the order.
  • Labels. Pieces are labelled to match the cut list or shop drawing, so the installer can find each one on site.

We do not publish delivery fees, a delivery radius or a delivery schedule. Ask about delivery to your job when you request a quote, and we answer for that order.

How the eight counties compare

The counties differ in ways that change which metal and which details make sense. Population tells you how dense the building stock is. The climate zone and the coastline change snow and corrosion planning for the people who design and install the work.

What do we make for every county?

The same shop serves all eight counties, so the product list does not change from one to the next. What changes is which item a building usually needs first.

General contractors, architects and developers can use our contractor resources to request submittals or send plans for pricing.

What if your job is outside these eight counties?

Ask us. If the building is elsewhere in New Jersey, send the town and the order details, and we will tell you plainly whether we can deliver there or whether pickup at the shop makes more sense.

A few things shape the answer:

  • The order. What is being made, how much of it and how long the longest pieces are.
  • The drop. Where a truck can stop and whether someone at the site can receive the material.
  • The timing. When the installer needs the parts on site.
  • Pickup. Whether your installer can collect the order in New Brunswick instead.

Contractors bidding a project outside our eight counties can still send the plans. We review the drawings and reply with a quote or a clear no, so nobody waits on a maybe.

What rules apply the same way in every county?

New Jersey runs one statewide construction code, so the big rules do not change at the county line. Permits and code compliance belong to the owner and the installer, but they shape what gets ordered.

  • Permits for re-roofing. Replacing the roof covering on a detached one- or two-family home is ordinary maintenance and generally needs no permit; attached, multifamily and commercial buildings generally do (N.J.A.C. 5:23-2.7). The installer should confirm with the local construction office.
  • Current codes. New Jersey’s 2024 building, residential and energy codes took effect August 17, 2026, with a six-month grace period during which applicants can generally still choose the prior codes (DCA adoption notice).
  • Ice barrier. Required by code only in Sussex County, which is outside our delivery area. Many roofers still lay one at the eaves as good practice.
  • Historic districts. Under the Municipal Land Use Law, towns can review exterior changes in designated districts, which can decide the metal and color you order (NJ Historic Trust).

How ordering works

From your dimensions to finished parts in four steps

1

Send dimensions or plans

Send a cut list, your installer’s field measurements, or plans and specs, with the profile, metal, finish and color you want.

2

Written quote and drawings

We reply with an itemized quote. Architectural and commercial orders get shop drawings for approval before fabrication.

3

Fabrication in our shop

Panels are cut to length and coping, flashing and trim are formed in our shop to the approved dimensions.

4

Delivery or pickup

Your order is delivered to the job in New Jersey or picked up at our shop, labelled so your installer can find each piece.

Where can you see buildings that used our metal?

On our projects page, as case studies are completed. Each one shows a building finished with our panels or sheet metal and installed by others.

Until a case study for your county is posted, the county pages above describe the buildings there and the products that fit them. Browse the projects page to see what has been published so far.

Delivery area questions

Which New Jersey counties does Architectural Metal Panels deliver to?

Eight: Middlesex, Somerset, Monmouth, Union, Mercer, Morris, Essex and Hunterdon. Each has its own page with local facts and the towns on the delivery list. Ask about delivery to your job when you request a quote.

Can I pick up my order instead of having it delivered?

Yes. Orders can be picked up at our New Brunswick shop during business hours. Bring a vehicle that can carry the longest piece on the order.

Do you deliver outside those eight counties?

Ask us. If the building is elsewhere in New Jersey, send the town and the order details, and we will tell you whether we can deliver there or whether pickup suits the job better.

Do you install the metal or measure the building?

No. We are a fabrication shop. We make parts from the dimensions, cut list or plans you send, and your contractor or installer takes the field measurements and does the installation.

Where is the shop?

In New Brunswick, in Middlesex County. The address is 13A Jules Lane, New Brunswick, NJ 08901.

Which counties need coastal materials?

Monmouth is the main one, with ocean, bay and tidal river frontage. Bayfront parts of Middlesex and the tidal east side of Union and Essex also call for a check of the coil warranty before steel is ordered.

Why are some of the counties in a colder climate zone?

New Jersey’s energy code uses two zones. DCA Bulletin 22-1 puts Somerset, Morris and Hunterdon in zone 5A and the other five counties in 4A. The zone matters most for new buildings and additions.

Can I see buildings in my county that used your metal?

We will post case studies as buildings are finished and photographed with the owner’s permission. Until then, each county page explains the buildings and products that fit that area.
