Soffit panels and fascia wrap from coil
Metal Soffit and Fascia Panels Made in New Jersey
Metal soffit and fascia in NJ close the underside of the roof overhang and cover the fascia board in metal that never needs paint. We cut and form soffit panels and fascia wrap in our shop from aluminum or Galvalume steel coil, in colors that match the roof and trim, to the overhang depths and board sizes your installer sends.
Homeowners, siding and roofing installers and builders order from us. We fabricate; your installer puts it up.

What are soffit and fascia?
Soffit is the underside of the roof overhang. Fascia is the board along the roof edge, where the gutter usually hangs. Covering both in metal keeps water off the wood and ends the repainting.
On many houses the soffit also feeds fresh air into the attic, which is why the choice between vented and solid soffit matters. Attic airflow plays a part in winter ice at the eaves, too; our guide to ice dams and metal roofs explains how.
What do we make for soffits and fascias?
Soffit panels, fascia wrap and the trim that holds them together. Each piece is cut on our 10′ shear and bent on our 10′ CNC folder.
- Soffit panels cut to the depth of each overhang, in solid or vented material.
- Fascia wrap bent to the board’s face height, with a top return that tucks under the drip edge and a bottom return toward the soffit.
- Receiver trim, such as J-channel and F-channel, that holds the soffit edges at the wall and behind the fascia.
- Rake fascia and frieze trim for gable ends and the line where the soffit meets the wall.
- Fascia cladding for commercial roof edges and canopies, in colors that match the metal wall panels below.
Pieces run up to 10 feet long, and your installer laps the joints on longer runs. Rotted fascia boards should be replaced before the wrap goes on, because metal over wet wood hides the decay. Drip edge, corners and other pieces are on our custom trim and brake metal page.
Vented or solid soffit?
Vented soffit goes where the attic draws its intake air through the overhang. Solid soffit goes everywhere else, such as porch ceilings and overhangs with no attic behind them.
How much open area a roof needs comes from the attic ventilation plan, not from the soffit itself. Ask for the open area of the vented material when you request a quote, and have your installer check it against that plan. Many houses mix the two: vented along the eaves, solid on the porch and the gable returns. For perforated sheet on screens and facades, see perforated metal panels.
Aluminum or steel soffit and fascia?
Aluminum is light and does not rust, which suits most soffits, fascia wrap and homes near salt air. Galvalume steel is stiffer and resists dents, and it matches our steel roof and wall panels.
| Coil | Thickness | Good fit |
|---|---|---|
| Aluminum, prefinished | .032″ or .040″ | Soffit panels, fascia wrap, shore homes |
| Galvalume steel, prefinished | Gauge listed on your quote | Commercial fascia, canopies, trim that must stay flat |

How do you match the soffit and fascia to the roof?
Choose the color from the chart of the coil maker used for the roof. If we are making the roof panels, order the soffit, fascia and trim with them in the same color and finish.
We fabricate from coil by Englert, Fabral, ATAS, UCP and SAF. For an existing roof, send the roof maker and color name if you know them, or the paperwork from the roof order. Ordering standing seam roof panels too? Put everything on one quote. Custom (non-stock) colors carry a minimum quantity, and finish warranties come from the coil maker.

What should your installer send?
The overhang depth and length of each run, the fascia board size, and which runs are vented. A sketch with the runs marked is enough to quote.
- Soffit depth, from the wall to the back of the fascia, and the length of each run
- Fascia board face height and thickness, with the top and bottom return sizes
- Vented or solid for each run, and the receiver trim wanted
- Metal, color and quantities
Send it with a quote request, email info@architecturalmetalpanels.net, or text us a photo of the sketch. We reply with a written quote within 24-48 hours (business days). Fascia wrap and trim are typically ready in 1-2 days, depending on color and gauge; the soffit panel lead time is on your quote.
Orders of any size are welcome, with no minimum. Your parts can be delivered within about a 5-hour drive of the shop, to New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Delaware or Maryland, at a cost shown on the quote, or picked up at the shop, Monday–Friday 7 AM–5 PM. Have a lower written quote for the same parts? Send it with your request and we will match or beat it.
Soffit and fascia questions
What is the difference between soffit and fascia?
Soffit is the underside of the roof overhang. Fascia is the vertical board along the roof edge, where gutters usually hang. Metal soffit panels close the overhang, and fascia wrap covers the board.
Should my soffit be vented?
Yes, where the attic takes its intake air through the overhang. The open area needed comes from the attic ventilation plan, so have your installer check the vented material against it. Porch ceilings and overhangs with no attic behind them can be solid.
Does the wood under fascia wrap need to be sound?
Yes. Your installer should replace soft or rotted fascia boards first. Metal wrapped over wet wood traps the moisture, and the decay keeps spreading out of sight.
Can you match the soffit and fascia to my roof color?
Usually. Send the roof maker and color name, or order the soffit and fascia with your roof panels. Colors come from the charts of the coil makers we work with, and custom (non-stock) colors carry a minimum quantity.
Do you install soffit and fascia?
No. We are a fabrication shop. We make the soffit panels, fascia wrap and trim to your installer’s measurements, and your installer puts them up.
