AMP profile: classic corrugated
AMP 2.67 x 1/2 Corrugated Panel
The AMP 2.67 x 1/2 corrugated panel is classic corrugated steel: a rounded wave on a 2.67-inch pitch, 1/2 inch deep. Each sheet is 41.25 inches wide overall and covers 40 inches on a wall or 37.334 inches on a roof. We make it in 24 or 22 gauge Galvalume steel, to the lengths on your cut list, in our New Brunswick shop. Matching trim is formed in the same shop, and your installer puts it up.

What are the 2.67 x 1/2 corrugated panel dimensions?
The corrugations repeat every 2.67 inches and stand 1/2 inch deep, the familiar look of corrugated metal. Older listings called this profile the AMP 2.67 x 5; it is the same panel.

Why is roof coverage smaller than wall coverage?
On a roof, neighboring sheets overlap by one more corrugation for a tighter weather lap. That extra 2.67 inches of overlap is why a sheet covers 37.334 inches on a roof and 40 inches on a wall.
Use the right figure when you count sheets. A 40-foot wall takes 12 sheets at 40 inches, while a 40-foot run of roof takes 13 at 37.334 inches. Your installer’s layout sets the final count.
22 or 24 gauge: which should you choose?
Choose 24 gauge for most walls and roofs, and 22 gauge where the panel takes abuse or the drawings call for it. The lower the gauge number, the thicker the steel.
Some owners split the difference: a 22 gauge band along the bottom of a wall at loading areas and yards, 24 gauge above, with a trim between the two.
Where does the 2.67 x 1/2 fit?
It fits anywhere a plain, honest corrugated look and a tough skin lead the decision.
- Shops, storage buildings, pump houses and equipment buildings.
- Dumpster, generator and equipment enclosures.
- Detached garages, backyard studios and accent walls on modern homes.
- Roofs on sheds, porches and outbuildings.

2.67 x 1/2 corrugated questions
What is the coverage of a 2.67 x 1/2 corrugated panel?
40 inches on a wall and 37.334 inches on a roof, from a sheet 41.25 inches wide overall. The roof figure is smaller because neighboring sheets overlap by one more corrugation.
Should I choose 22 or 24 gauge?
24 gauge suits most walls, roofs, garages and homes. 22 gauge is thicker and better where walls take impact, such as loading areas and equipment yards.
Do exposed fastener walls leak?
Not when screws are placed in straight rows, driven square and snug, and checked over time. Most problems come from overdriven screws or aging sealing washers.
Can I use the 2.67 x 1/2 on a house or garage?
Yes, on garages, studios, sheds and accent walls. Homeowners order the panels and trim from us and have their own installer put them up.
When should I step up to the 2.67 x 7/8?
When the drawings call for more load capacity or you want heavier shadow lines. The 7/8 profile is 7/8 inch deep and covers 34.67 inches on a wall.
