AMP profile: industrial corrugated
AMP 2.67 x 7/8 Corrugated Metal Panel
The AMP 2.67 x 7/8 is an industrial 7/8 corrugated metal panel: a 2.67-inch pitch, 7/8 inch deep, with higher load capacity and heavier shadow lines than classic corrugated. Each sheet is 36 inches wide overall and covers 34.67 inches on a wall or 32 inches on a roof. We make it in 24 or 22 gauge Galvalume steel or .032 or .040 inch aluminum, to the lengths on your cut list, in our New Brunswick shop. Your installer puts it up.

What does 7/8 mean on a corrugated panel?
It is the depth. The corrugations stand 7/8 inch (0.875 inch) deep on a 2.67-inch pitch, and that depth makes a stiffer sheet than the 1/2-inch classic profile.

7/8 or 1/2 corrugated: which should you choose?
Choose 7/8 when loads, wall height or support spacing push past what the classic profile allows on the drawings, or when you want a bolder line. Choose the AMP 2.67 x 1/2 for short, well-supported, budget-driven walls.
| Question | 2.67 x 1/2 | 2.67 x 7/8 |
|---|---|---|
| Depth | 1/2″ | 7/8″ |
| Wall coverage | 40″ | 34.67″ |
| Roof coverage | 37.334″ | 32″ |
| Overall width | 41.25″ | 36″ |
| Metals | 24 or 22 ga steel | 24 or 22 ga steel; .032″ or .040″ aluminum |
| Look | Classic corrugated | Heavier shadow lines |
Narrower coverage means more sheets: a 40-foot wall takes 14 sheets of the 7/8 profile against 12 of the 1/2. On a roof, both profiles overlap by one more corrugation than on a wall. For the widest spans or a rib look, compare the AMP 7.2 Rib.
Where is the 2.67 x 7/8 used?
It is used wherever a wall or roof needs strength first and a strong corrugated look second, or both at once.
- Industrial buildings: tall walls on plants, utility buildings and warehouses.
- Screen walls: equipment screens and generator yards that span between posts.
- Modern facades: restaurants, breweries and retail buildings that use deep corrugation as the main material, often beside flat aluminum composite panels.
- Roofs: canopies, sheds and outbuildings, with matching trim.
Near salt water, the aluminum version is worth a look; our guide to metal near the Jersey Shore explains why. Where snow slides off the roof onto doors or walkways, see snow guards for metal roofs.
How do you order the 2.67 x 7/8?
Send the drawings with the support spacing, or a cut list, and we reply with a written quote within 24-48 hours on business days. Field dimensions come from your installer. Commercial jobs get shop drawings for approval where the job calls for them.
- Metal and gauge: steel or aluminum, in the gauge or thickness the drawings call for.
- Sheets: each length and count, marked roof or wall, with lap locations.
- Trim: base, corners, openings and top, formed on our 10-foot CNC folder.
- No minimum order. Custom (non-stock) colors carry a minimum quantity, and the lead time is on your quote.
- Delivery within about a 5-hour drive of New Brunswick: New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Delaware and Maryland, with the cost quoted. Or pick up at the shop, Monday–Friday 7 AM–5 PM.
- Competitive price guarantee: have a lower written quote for the same parts? Send it with your request and we will match or beat it.
Finish warranties come from the coil maker; our warranty page explains them. The full corrugated range is on our corrugated metal wall panels page.
7/8 corrugated questions
What does 7/8 mean in a corrugated metal panel?
It is the corrugation depth: 7/8 inch, or 0.875 inch, on a 2.67-inch pitch. The deeper wave gives the panel its higher load capacity.
What is the coverage of the 2.67 x 7/8?
34.67 inches on a wall and 32 inches on a roof, from a sheet 36 inches wide overall. On a roof, neighboring sheets overlap by one more corrugation.
Is the 2.67 x 7/8 stronger than the 2.67 x 1/2?
Yes. The deeper corrugation gives it higher load capacity. The gauge and support spacing for your building come from the project’s drawings or engineer.
Is this 7/8 corrugated metal panel available in aluminum?
Yes, in .032 or .040 inch aluminum, as well as 24 or 22 gauge Galvalume steel.
Does deeper corrugation hide waviness better than a flat panel?
It tends to. The heavier shadow lines make small irregularities harder to see than on a flat face.
