AMP profile: concealed fastener wall panel

AMP Wave 16-4 Concealed Fastener Wall Panel

The AMP Wave 16-4 is a concealed fastener wall panel with 16 inches of coverage. It is 7/8 inch deep, with four ribs on a 4-inch module. Each row of screws is covered by the next panel, so the finished wall shows no fastener heads. The standard panel is 24 gauge Galvalume steel with a PVDF finish. We make it to the lengths on your cut list in our New Brunswick shop, with matching trim, for delivery or pickup. Your installer puts it up.

What are the Wave 16-4 dimensions?

Each panel covers 16 inches of wall and stands 7/8 inch (0.875 inch) deep. Four ribs repeat on a 4-inch module, which gives a large elevation a steady, even texture. It is one of the AMP profiles in our metal wall panel line.

Where does a 16-inch concealed fastener wall panel fit best?

It fits long, tall walls with few openings. Each panel covers a third more wall than a 12-inch panel, so an elevation needs fewer panels and fewer side joints.

  • Warehouses and flex buildings: office fronts and full elevations in industrial parks, often over old block.
  • Retail and mixed-use: upper floors and side walls, often with flat ACM panels at the entry.
  • Modern homes: full-height walls, garages and stair towers where owners want metal without visible screws.

A wall broken up by many windows, doors and short returns usually suits the narrower AMP Wave 12-3, which shares the same depth and rib module. If the panel must also cover a roof, compare the AMP 7.2 Rib.

Horizontal or vertical: what changes?

The look and the framing behind the panel change. Horizontal ribs stretch a low, long building; vertical ribs add height to towers, narrow bays and entries.

  • Horizontal runs fasten to vertical hat-channel furring or studs. Long walls need end splices, placed so they line up from course to course.
  • Vertical runs fasten to horizontal girts or furring, and one panel can often run the full wall height.

Over old brick or block, furring evens out the wall and leaves a drainage space behind the metal. On taller commercial walls with foam insulation, the tested wall assembly matters, as our aluminum composite panels page explains under NFPA 285.

Wave 16-4 questions

Can Wave 16-4 run horizontally on one wall and vertically on another?

Yes. The corner or band where the direction changes gets its own transition trim, planned before the panels are made.

Is a 16-inch panel more economical than a 12-inch panel?

Often on large open walls. Each panel covers a third more wall, so there are fewer panels and side joints to set. On walls with many openings the gap shrinks, and we can quote both profiles side by side.

What metals and gauges is Wave 16-4 made in?

The standard panel is 24 gauge Galvalume steel with a PVDF finish. 22 gauge Galvalume and .032 or .040 inch aluminum are available on request. Near salt water, read our guide to metal roofing near the Jersey Shore before you choose steel.

Is Wave 16-4 a good choice for a house?

Yes, on modern homes, garages and additions where owners want a clean metal wall without visible screws. Homeowners order the panels and trim from us, and their own installer puts them up.

Is there a minimum order for Wave 16-4?

No. There is no minimum order, even for a single garage wall. Custom (non-stock) colors carry a minimum quantity.
